Seth joins us as our new Technical & Compliance Engineer.
Good quality air can improve the productivity and well-being of employees. In a general workplace this can mean making sure there is sufficient fresh air and low levels of airborne particles. Some workplaces such as factories and mills pose specific risks to employees, others such as hospitals and clean-rooms require very specific environments. In these cases additional risk assessments and suitable testing and monitoring are required.
Certifact can provide Indoor Air Quality audits within a regular monitoring programme or an investigative survey in response to a particular issue. All audits are carried out by qualified inspectors, with backgrounds in building and environmental services.
All incubation and analysis of microbiological samples is undertaken by appropriately accredited UKAS/NAMAS specialist laboratories.
We are able to measure the basic environmental factors such as temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, airborne microbiological activity and more advanced factors such as ozone, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chlorine, airborne particles and microbials, respirable dusts, oxides of nitrogen or sulphur dioxide.
We can also undertake odour threshold analysis and provide assessment of effectiveness of local exhaust ventilation (LEV).
We work in a variety of building types including enclosed workplaces, theatres, cinemas, shopping centres, hospitals, clean rooms, stations and airports.
